Fall Equinox Reflections | The Pageantry of Release!

Each season has so much wisdom to share with us! It's absolutely lovely to be able to spend more time outdoors to take in the all the shifts from summer to fall. There's so much pageantry expressed in our local flora before winter. The flushing bright red of berries, the turning of leaves to golds and rusts! And then the trees and shrubs give it all away to the squirrels, bears, and deer; to the soil microbes and mycelial networks beneath them, everything down into their roots for a long winter's rest. It's an exquisite display of generosity and trust.

With the trees and rose bush as our teachers, the Fall Equinox can be a great time to clear out and clean up! Give away what you don't need in order to make the space or you to breath and "be." Be both metaphorical and literal in how you choose to clear space.

  • Clear out your freezer & fridge and make a feast to share with friends and family! Toast to chapters that are closing and the new ones to be written in your personal book of life!

  • Clean out your closet, mindfully considering items that you'd like to regift to a friend or a family member. Reflect on why some of these items do not suit, serve or bring you anymore. What brings you great joy now?

  • Share some of your garden's harvest, flowers or even seeds with a neighbor. What gifts in your life come naturally to you? How do you share them with others?

  • Clean out your desk and file cabinets! Burn when you don't need and is creating clutter for you in a backyard fire! What else in you life needs to be completely released?

Sending you all Autumnal Equinox joy and blessings!
