Happy Solstice | words from Kate
The other day I went on a cross country ski. It was a late sunny afternoon and it was wonderful! The sun started to dip a bit earlier then I expected and I started thinking about how this Saturday is The Winter Solstice, our darkest/shortest day of the year. After December 21, we begin heading into the light again. We do not get much more light all at once, just a tiny bit. Yet each day the light grows so that by June we have about 6 more hours of light. That kind of incremental change struck me as incredible. However, this also reminded me that all the changes and adjustments I have ever made in my life I made just like the light. Bit by bit. Day by day.
May the Solstice and the holy-day season sprinkle you with joy and laughter wherever you are.
In-joy,
Kate
